Discover the Magic of Husky Sledding Near Bodø

Experience an unforgettable husky sledding adventure in the breathtaking winter scenery of Sulitjelma. As you arrive, a cozy campfire welcomes you with the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee made over the fire, setting the stage for a day filled with excitement and wonder.

Your adventure Through Beautiful Mountain Scenery

The husky sledding journey covers approximately 5 kilometers through Sulitjelma's breathtaking mountain terrain as part of a two-hour, all-inklusive experience.
Accompanied by your guide, you will travel along picturesque trails, through forests, valleys, and lakes. Making several stops at idyllic spots perfect for photos.
The guide takes 2–3 guests at a time on a large sled, making this a close and personal experience, while the rest wait for their turn around the campfire or in our Storgamme (large traditional Sami tent).
During the tour, guests take turns driving the dog sled team together with the guide, ensuring everyone has a hands-on experience while feeling safe and supported. These shared moments make the adventure memorable and accessible for all participants.

Unique Bonding Moments

Our tours offer a unique opportunity to bond with these incredible animals. After the exhilarating ride, guests can spend quality time cuddling with the huskies, helping to remove their harnesses, and feeding them together.

Briefing, History & Guided Experience

Before your husky sledding adventure begins, our experienced instructors will provide a thorough safety briefing to ensure everyone feels comfortable, confident, and ready for the journey ahead.

Once you're prepared, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to steer a sled and manage a team of 8–10 spirited Siberian huskies together with your guide.In addition the guide will share fascinating stories about the origins of Siberian huskies and the tradition of sled dogs. You will learn how these remarkable animals were originally bred by the Chukchi people of Siberia for endurance and teamwork in harsh Arctic conditions.

For Everyone – No Experience Needed

Our tours are designed for all, whether you are an experienced adventurer or new to dog sledding. No special skills are required—just bring your sense of adventure and love for the outdoors. Bundle up in warm winter gear and join us for a husky-powered adventure that promises memories to last a lifetime.

Practical Information

  • Tour Duration:  2 hours (you're welcome to stay longer)
  • Location: Dajaveien 1, 8230 Sulitjlma Norway
  • Facilities: public restrooms, kiosk, sauna, and bookable cabins on site.
  • Bring: Winter-appropriate clothing (wool layers, warm footwear such as hiking shoes or winter boots) and snacs
  • Limited number of coveralls and shoes available as backup

Booking & Prices

  • Adults: NOK 2250
  • Children (6–16 years): NOK 1650
  • Small children (3–6 years): Free (when accompanied by an adult on the sled)
  • Tour times: 11:30 and 14:00
  • Minimum participants: 2 (solo bookings welcome, but tour requires at least 2 people, max 8 or more on request)
